Happy Mother’s Day

Dear Mom,

Even though I can’t talk in full sentences yet, I wanted to let you know that I think you’re the best mom ever. Sure, taking the leg-breaking fall was a perfect example of how you’d do anything for me, but equally impressive is the love, patience and attention that you give to me each and every day.

Even though I’m a near perfect child, I know that I can try your patience sometimes. There are times when nothing you feed me will do – even though the last time you fed me the same items I devoured them with gusto. Then there are the times when I refuse to wear pants and insist on running around half naked. Regardless of the situation, you always handle it with incredible patience and love. That’s very big of you – and I’m not just saying that because of our obvious size differences.

So thanks for being such a great mom. I’ll try to remember how great you are when I’m 13 and can’t stand to be seen with you at the mall.

Love,
Ella
