Christmas with the Kleins

Hope everyone had a very happy holiday!

We spent Christmas in Las Vegas this year, visiting Jason's brother Scott and his wife Heidi. Jason's parents drove out from San Diego to join us. Here's the whole family on Christmas morning.

A trip to Mt. Charleston on Christmas day to play in the snow. Ella loved it every minute of it.

Her favorite part was knocking down snowmen that Aunt Heidi and FaFa made for her.

Number 15

The list of the most popular names of 2006 came out and (drumroll, please) Ella is number 15. We were trying to avoid choosing a name from the top 10, but if the trend continues, 1 out of 10 girls in her high school will be named Ella.

On a similar note, I went to the Mother's Club Book Club meeting last week and of the seven moms there, 3 of us had kids named Ella. And there was even another mom Megan with an Ella! Who knew?!

I present to you: Princess Ella

Santa's Village -- minus Santa

We tried to take our annual photo with Santa. But no go. Ella was terrified. And I haven’t even told her yet that he comes into our house via the chimney in the middle of the night. Last year she cried a bit, but nothing compared to this. She was clinging to me and asking to go bye-bye. So we went.

So here we are at Santa's Village, with no Santa in sight:

And here's the closest she'll get to Santa this year -- a reluctant photo with Mrs. Claus at the Caltrain Holiday Train tonight.
