Happy 2 B 2 Months Old

Dear Sarah,

Today you are two months old. What a difference a month makes. And also a binky! At six weeks, you discovered that life is happier when you have silicon to suck on. And I’m happy to no longer be a human pacifier.



Another major accomplishment this month is that you now sleep in your own bed at night – anywhere from 3 to 8 hours in a row. FYI, Mama prefers the 8’s to the 3’s. A rested Mama is a happy Mama.



But the best new thing of all is your smile. It’s an open-mouth grin that lights up your whole face – and mine. It’s what makes this whole child-rearing thing worthwhile. It’s the best return on investment out there.

Happy Halloween!

Ella’s preschool had a Halloween parade on Tuesday. Here’s Ella with her best friend, Cinderella (a.k.a. Ava).


Trick-or-Treating as Madonna-cat
We added whiskers, but the ears went a little south … Yes that is Mama Cat in the background. Baby Sister Cat slept through the whole thing. Never even put her official costume on. We’ll have to take photos of her later for her scrapbook. :)
