San Diego Reunion Weekend

November 8th was my 20-year high school reunion. That may come as a shock to those of you who thought a 10-year reunion would be more likely given my boyish good looks. In order to see if time was as kind to my fellow classmates, we spent a long weekend in San Diego (home of the Santa Fe Christian Screamin' Eagles) to attend the reunion activities - a quasi-prom, homecoming game and informal party. With only about 40 people in my graduating class, you knew everyone, and it was fun to catch up. Here's my class twenty years later.

Grandpa and FaFa were also excited to have Sarah and Ella down for the weekend.

We managed to fit in a trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park.

We went on the tram ride.

And Ella liked petting the deer.

A big bonus was having the girls stay at Mom and Dad's while Meg and I stayed with family friends, the Garys - who have a piano.

Ella also liked feeding the ducks at the lake by Grandpa and FaFa's place.

We also squeezed in a couple of trips to see some non-high school friends. We drove up to San Clemente to see Matt and Susie Kline and their kids Hannah and Alyssa.

Next, we saw Dave and Cheree Adey, and their daughter Dorothy.

The trip went fast, and it was soon time to head to the airport.

Sarah is a good flier.
