Legoland!

It's been a little crazy since our trip to San Diego, but I'm finally getting around to posting some pics from our day at Legoland. Ella didn't know what to make of it all at first, but she warmed up pretty quickly, and then even braved the rides - including a roller coaster! Enjoy the pictures.

Ella rides the rails.

All this activity has tired someone out.

Ella begins her hospital internship.

Or maybe, she'll be a firefighter.

Ella got too close to a lion.

Mama and Sarah can't lego of each other.

After a day at Legoland, she finishes the trip off at the lego building room.

8 Months

Dear Sarah,

It’s teething time here in Kleinville. Which means you’ve turned into a clingy monkey who doesn’t sleep through the night anymore. Luckily, it started after our road trip to San Diego. During which you delighted your grandparents by giving them wet, sloppy kisses. (It must be love.) Speaking of monkeys, you had your first trip to the zoo while in San Diego. You LOVE animals, dogs in particular. You screech whenever one is near – which tends to have the opposite of your desired effect – they hightail it away from you.

Another first was your 1st camping trip. We went to Samuel P. Taylor park in Marin with some friends who also have young kids. It was great, except for the freezing weather. The moms and babies ended up driving home at 2:00am. Maybe we’ll try again in August. Unless you’re crawling … Currently, you can go from sitting to lying on your belly. You can pull up onto your knees, but you still scoot backwards.

Got milk? It’s official, you are now signing “milk.” You sign it multiple times a day, and also during meals when you want water from your sippy cup.

We end this month with a new hairdo. An updo, if you will. Your bangs have reached your eyes, so it’s up into a ponytail on the top of your head. Very cute, and it makes you look so much older. With your hair pulled back like this, you look more like my old baby photos everyday. Even strangers call you my “mini me.”

You be the judge:

Much love,
Mama
