Christmas in San Francisco

Last weekend we took the girls to Union Square to see the Christmas decorations.





Macy's holiday window displays were a big hit - thanks to the puppies and kittens that populated each festive scene.





The ice rink was back at Union Square, and we stopped to watch. Maybe next year Ella will be ready to tie on some ice skates.



We ended the Sunday by visiting the Santa Train that came through San Mateo. Mrs. Claus was nice enough to take a break from her busy schedule to take a picture with us.

Sarah Starts Walking

Sarah decided to start walking today. Just 3 days short of 15 months, Sarah went from a couple of steps to doing laps around the kitchen. The quick transition makes us think she has been able to walk for awhile, but it just never occurred to her.

We're all very excited about it, especially her big sister/"walking school" instructor. I'm not sure if Ella will suspend classes now that Sarah has aced the subject matter.
